With cute animal antics and photos dominating social media engagement, it seems we all like to see our animal friends in cute and/or funny poses and clips.

This funny competition was created by Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam, both professional photographers to celebrate the positive and vital role that pets have in our lives and to encourage engagement around animal welfare.

This year Comedy Pets is donating a massive £35,000 to animal welfare charities, £10,000 each to 3 separate charities all doing an amazing job, caring for and re-homing abandoned animals: Dean Farm Trust, London Inner City Kitties and Wild at Heart Foundation. The winning photographer of this year’s competition will receive £5,000 to donate to a charity of their choice in addition to a £2,000 first prize.
